Mother’s Day at IvAlive
Mother’s Day, which we prepared for with special care, became a truly warm celebration of togetherness, gratitude, and genuine emotions.
From early morning, the team at the IvAlive Education and Development centre was busy preparing the space — decorating the hall, setting the festive table, and creating a cosy and welcoming atmosphere for every guest.
Within a few hours, the centre was almost full, with hardly any seats left. Alongside our regular visitors, we were happy to welcome Swiss friends invited by members of our community. Different languages could be heard in the room, but everyone was united by warm smiles and a joyful mood.

Throughout the day, we organised themed activities for both mothers and children. Mothers explored interesting patterns behind important numbers, while children created handmade photo frames — special gifts for the people they love most.

One of the most touching parts of the celebration was the concert “A Mother’s Heart”, prepared by our members. The evening programme included:
— a performance by young gymnasts;
— an energetic breakdance show;
— a short theatre scene about differences between generations;
— a moving performance by the IvAlive children’s choir together with students from the Ukrainian school Zernyatko du Léman;
— a waltz performed by ballroom dance teacher Viktoria Udovikova and her son.

The evening ended with a performance by our band. The hall filled with favourite songs that the mothers sang along to — from well-known hits of the 90s to modern music that got everyone up and dancing.

We sincerely thank every mother who was part of this special day. We created this celebration for you — with love, appreciation, and heartfelt warmth.
