A New Chapter for the IvAlive Foundation

The IvAlive Foundation recently held an important strategy day — a special event that marked the beginning of a new chapter in our growth and a new vision for the future of the foundation.

IvAlive was founded in 2022, at a time when many Ukrainians in Switzerland needed support, connection, and a sense of home far away from Ukraine. Since then, we have created numerous social, cultural, and educational initiatives, built a space of trust and support, brought people together, and shared Ukrainian culture in Switzerland.

As the foundation continued to grow, we began asking ourselves an important question: what should the future of IvAlive look like? How can we stay relevant, useful, and continue creating projects that truly make a difference in people’s lives?

That is why, over the past few months, our team has been actively working on a new strategy for the foundation — reflecting on our experience, values, vision, and future directions. It was important for us not only to make plans for the future, but also to understand the kind of positive impact IvAlive wants to leave behind.

During the strategy day, our team came together both online and in person (thank you, Zoom, for helping us stay connected across distances). We shared updates about the foundation, talked about IvAlive’s mission and values, our team culture, long-term vision, and new areas for future growth.

Together, we exchanged ideas, had meaningful discussions, laughed, enjoyed Ukrainian borscht and mashed potatoes, and even did a few short exercise breaks after several hours of productive work.

For us, this means much more than just a strategy document or development plan. It is about being intentional in how we build IvAlive — thoughtfully, responsibly, and with genuine care for the people and community we are creating together.

Ahead of us are new projects, new changes, and even more opportunities to make a positive impact. We have already met the renewed IvAlive — and very soon, we will introduce it to you as well.
