Le Livre sur les Quais Book Fair: Books, People, Stories

This past weekend was truly special for us — the IvAlive team took part in the Le Livre sur les Quais literary festival in Morges. We showcased books in Ukrainian and other languages, including titles about Ukraine, which quickly drew the interest of many visitors.

Over the three days of the festival, we sold more than 200 books — including our unique title «UKRAINE: Cuisine et Histoire». Thanks to our collaboration with the publisher Éditions Noir sur Blanc, we also offered a wonderful selection of Ukrainian literature in French. The demand was so high that by the second day, the publisher had to bring more copies!

What mattered most to us was seeing the books find their readers — from local Swiss residents to Ukrainian families with children. Even though the weekend began with rain, the festival was filled with warm conversations, sunny moments, and sincere curiosity. We treated our guests to Ukrainian sweets, chatted about favourite genres, and shared stories about our authors.

This experience was much more to us than just selling books. It was a chance to introduce people to Ukrainian culture, to show its richness and modern spirit. And we could feel that every visitor left with something more meaningful than just a book.
