On 17 September, the IvAlive team attended a job fair for migrants and refugees in Switzerland — one of the country’s key platforms for professional integration.

This event closely aligns with the mission of our foundation: to support Ukrainians as they adapt to life in a new country, through education, talent development, and access to career opportunities. We aim to help not only children and their mothers but also everyone seeking meaningful work and a chance to realise their potential.

The fair’s programme included:

- Panel discussions with representatives from leading companies — SBB CFF FFS, La Poste, IKEA Switzerland, Powercoders — as well as Adrian Gerber, the Federal Delegate for the Professional Integration of Refugees;

- Thematic sessions on refugee employment, legal aspects of hiring, and starting a business in Switzerland;

- Mock speed interviews with recruiters;

- Employer booths and networking opportunities.

We were glad to meet many Ukrainians who are actively looking for jobs and new opportunities. Your energy and determination are truly inspiring!

We are convinced that events like this play an important role in connecting migrants with the Swiss labour market, helping people feel valued and fully part of society.

It was also a valuable opportunity for us to explore new partnerships and connect with organisations that share our mission and values. We are grateful to Together Association, HEC Lausanne — Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Lausanne, and other partners for making this important event possible.
