Ukrainian Language Classes for Children in Switzerland
The IvAlive Foundation is launching a new program for children aged 6 to 13, helping them speak, think and dream in Ukrainian.
We created these classes to support Ukrainian refugee children growing up abroad. Our goal is to help them stay connected to their language, culture and roots.
How the classes work:
Children will have two 45-minute lessons per week — one focused on writing, the other on reading. All lessons take place in a friendly and caring atmosphere, guided by Ukrainian teachers through creative activities, communication and play.
Our goals:
• Help children living abroad maintain their Ukrainian identity
• Bring together Ukrainian families in Switzerland around culture, education and shared values
• Support children as they adapt to a new environment, helping them stay true to themselves
• Create a safe space where children can learn, make friends, be creative and explore Ukrainian culture
📍 Classes begin on 29 October
Preserving the language means preserving the nation.
When a child speaks Ukrainian, they are not just saying words — they are becoming part of the history, culture and heritage of their people.
