The Famous Tulip Festival in Morges

Every spring, the town of Morges (canton of Vaud) turns into a true flower fairy tale. More than 140,000 tulips in different varieties and colours create a unique living landscape, like a bright kaleidoscope.

The theme for 2026 is “Fairy Tales and Legends.” It reflects the special atmosphere of the festival: warm, magical, slightly whimsical. As you walk through the park, each corner feels like a scene from a beloved story.

Throughout the festival, Parc de l’Indépendance offers a lively cultural programme. Visitors can enjoy guided tours, public readings, open-air concerts and creative workshops. For children, there are interactive zones and fun quests, making the visit even more engaging.

A special highlight for gardening enthusiasts is the traditional tulip bulb sale on 12 May. It’s a great opportunity to take a small part of the festival home with you.
