New project for the Integration of Ukrainian Refugees in Switzerland
Switzerland aims to increase employment opportunities for Ukrainians, and as part of this effort, the Ministry of Justice and Police is working on a new project to be completed by February 2025.
Both the Working Group on "S Status" and the Swiss parliament believe that the process for Ukrainians to find paid employment needs to be made easier. The proposed changes include:
- Removing the need for a work permit and replacing it with a straightforward employee registration.
- Requiring job seekers to register with local (cantonal) labor and employment offices (RAV).
- Allowing refugees to move freely between cantons, while still participating in social and integration programs.
We’ll be following these developments closely and keeping an eye on the latest updates.
