KRUTЬ in Lausanne: A Concert That Brought Hearts Together
A deeply moving concert by Ukrainian singer and bandura player Maryna Krut took place in Lausanne, drawing an audience of around 250 people. Among them were Ukrainians longing for the spirit of home, as well as locals and international guests discovering the richness of modern Ukrainian culture. The evening became a true symbol of unity — through music, shared emotions, and love for Ukraine.

One of the most touching moments was the joint performance by Maryna and the IvAlive children’s choir. Together, they sang “Lesya” and the beloved song “Ukraino” by Taras Petrynenko — both of which moved many to tears, stirred by sincerity, nostalgia, and pride. The atmosphere was made even more heartfelt by children’s drawings, created especially for the charity fair and as gifts for the artist herself.

To close the evening, Maryna hosted a charity auction featuring unique items: a traditional kraika belt, a shirt bearing artwork by Alla Horska, and a T-shirt with Maryna’s autograph. Thanks to the generosity of the guests, 5,500 Swiss francs were raised to support an Easter camp for children.

This evening left a lasting mark — not just in memories, but in the hearts of everyone who attended. Warm hugs, keepsake photos, and kind words showed just how essential events like this are for the Ukrainian community. The Ivalive’s dedicated team is privileged to be behind such cultural initiatives abroad.
