On November 2, the IvAlive Foundation held its second charity gala in Lausanne.

The event aimed to raise funds to establish an Educational and Development Center for Ukrainian refugee children and their mothers, as well as the largest Ukrainian-language library in Switzerland. Another key goal was to connect with potential partners and promote Ukrainian culture abroad.

The evening’s highlight was a performance by Jamala, who sang her English and Ukrainian hits. She expressed her heartfelt thanks to the audience for supporting Ukraine and called for unity in the name of good.

The atmosphere was made even more magical by NovaYa, the first opera singer in the world to play a laser harp. The audience was deeply moved by performances from the IvAlive children’s choir and Maria Sviazova, winner of the United Kids Festival. Opera singer Nina Ruban impressed everyone with her powerful soprano voice.

Between the performances, a charity auction was held, co-hosted by Ivanna Onufriychuk and Timur Miroshnichenko. The auction featured works by Ukrainian artists Iryna Sushelnytska and Natalia Korf-Ivaniuk, among other special items.

All proceeds from the gala will go toward creating the center and library for Ukrainian children and their mothers.

The planned center will offer children activities such as early development classes, singing lessons, art therapy, and dance and sports clubs. For mothers, there will be spaces for psychological support, book club, networking, language courses, employment workshops, and legal consultations. A shared library and reading area will provide a welcoming space for both children and adults to learn and connect.

This project is a big step in supporting Ukrainian refugees, giving them the tools and opportunities to rebuild their lives and grow in a caring community.
