Children’s Visit to the Alimentarium Museum with IvAlive
On 25 April, we organised another engaging and inspiring visit — this time to the Alimentarium Museum. It gave children a chance to see familiar everyday foods in a completely new way.
During the visit, we learned more about:
• how plants are grown and the journey food takes before it reaches our homes;
• the important role insects play in the ecosystem, and why many foods would not exist without them;
• how cooking traditions have changed over time, from one generation to the next;
• the role of sugar in human history and culture.
We also spent time exploring food traditions from different countries, from ancient times to today.

These visits offer much more than just new knowledge. They help children broaden their horizons, look at familiar things in a different way, learn more about the country they live in, and spend time together in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
