On October 11, 2023, a cozy, unforgettable concert of the Ukrainian composer Yevhen Khmara, organized by the IvAlive Foundation, took place in the old Yehudi Menuhin Forum concert hall in Bern.

It was attended by many Ukrainians, as well as Swiss. Yevhen Khmara performed not only his author's program but also played Ukrainian songs on the piano. Especially for the event, the composer composed Myroslav Skoryk's "Melody" for a Ukrainian violinist girl living in Switzerland.

The children's choir also performed together with Yevhen, which moved the audience to tears – everyone sang in unison. At the end of the concert, the virtuoso pianist together with the guests performed the Ukrainian songs "Oh, in the Meadow, Red Viburnum", "What a Moonlit Night" and "My native Mother" which was especially touching and unifying.

It was hard to hold back the tears... But not from sadness, but from pride in the fact that the Ukrainian nation is strong, talented and indomitable.
