Free French Lessons at Vidy Beach in Lausanne

From July 7 to August 8, the City of Lausanne is offering free French classes in the open air at Vidy Beach — and everyone is welcome!

These lessons are specially designed for beginners. They’ll help you take your first steps in learning French, get more comfortable using the language in everyday situations, and meet new people in a relaxed and friendly setting.

Each session focuses on a practical, everyday topic — like going shopping or visiting the doctor. That way, you can join at any time without feeling lost or left behind.

👉🏻 Coming with small children (age 2 and up)? There’s a play area where kids can have fun under the care of qualified staff.
