Vyshyvanka Day in Basel once again became a symbol of unity for the Ukrainian community and friends of Ukraine. This year, the large-scale festival *“Ornament Unites Hearts”* brought together around 1,000 participants, connecting people through Ukrainian culture, traditions, and shared values.

The IvAlive Foundation team was happy to be part of this important event. Held in both Ukrainian and German, the festival created an open space for cultural exchange and offered visitors an opportunity to discover Ukraine through art, music, dance, and traditional cuisine.

The first part of the festival was hosted by IvAlive Foundation founder Ivanna Onufriichuk. Guests enjoyed performances by Ukrainian dance groups and artists who beautifully combined modern choreography with Ukrainian traditions. The festive atmosphere was also enriched by vibrant vocal and instrumental performances.

Among the distinguished guests were representatives of the Embassy of Ukraine. Samvel Arustamyan, Adviser to the Embassy, addressed the audience with words of support, highlighting the importance of preserving Ukrainian cultural heritage and supporting Ukrainian communities abroad.

One of the highlights of the festival was the performance by the IvAlive Foundation Choir. The young performers received a very warm welcome from the audience, and the heartfelt applause and support became the greatest reward for the children. As a pleasant surprise, choir members also received gifts and treats from the event organisers.

During the main break, festival guests had the opportunity to take part in a variety of workshops for children and adults, support charitable initiatives, and enjoy traditional Ukrainian food. Ukrainian businesses offered a true culinary journey through Ukraine, presenting a wide range of national favourites — from traditional borscht to a variety of varenyky with creative fillings.

We sincerely thank the festival organisers for the invitation, their warm hospitality, and the tremendous effort that made such a large and meaningful event possible. Vyshyvanka Day in Basel once again demonstrated the strength of the Ukrainian community, which continues to preserve its traditions, promote Ukrainian culture, and share it with the world, regardless of distance.

Together, we preserve Ukrainian identity and build strong cultural bridges between nations.
