Four years of full-scale war.

Four years that have changed each of us.

Four years of pain and loss — and at the same time, unbreakable resilience.

On 24 February, in the heart of Lausanne, the IvAlive Foundation team, together with partner organisations, came together to remind the world: Ukraine’s fight continues — and in this fight, we are not alone.

From the very first moments, the atmosphere was filled with silence, deep attention and a special sense of unity — the kind that forms between people who truly understand the value of freedom.

A particularly moving moment was the screening of a documentary video by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. Real footage from rescue missions, the genuine emotions of emergency workers, and the unfiltered reality of war reminded us that behind every news headline there are human lives, courage and daily acts of heroism.

That evening, we heard music that has been with us throughout these four years — in moments of fear and hope, separation and faith. The children’s choir performed “Hallelujah” and “Manifest” by Artem Pivovarov. The band played “Obiymy” by Okean Elzy. The National Anthem of Ukraine was performed by the choir director, Viktoria Holosna, creating a powerful moment of shared breath and unity for everyone present. Each performance became something we experienced together.

This day is about memory that lives with us every minute, not only on calendar dates.

It is about those who defend Ukraine on the front lines.

Those who support and sustain the country from behind the front.

Those who have lost their homes, but not their hope.

We sincerely thank everyone who made the public gathering and the concert possible: our partners, artists, volunteers and every person who responded with an open heart.

Our strength is in our unity.
