The KnygAlive library hosted the first meeting of Book Club by KnygAlive, a new cultural and educational initiative created for people who enjoy discovering new books, sharing their reading experiences, and taking part in meaningful discussions.

The launch of the club attracted strong interest. People of different ages and professional backgrounds joined the first meeting, united by a shared love of reading and a desire to be part of an active reading community.

The event began with introductions. Participants talked about the books that have influenced them the most, shared their personal reading journeys, and spoke about what they hope to gain from future club meetings. The discussion showed that reading remains a valuable way to learn, broaden our understanding of the world, and build meaningful connections with others.

A special highlight of the first meeting was a lecture by Vira Ostashchuk dedicated to Ukrainian women who helped shape society, stood up for their beliefs, and became pioneers in fields where women previously had little opportunity to make their voices heard. The lecture created an opportunity to discuss the role of individuals in history, leadership, and the power of social change.

Participants were also introduced to a selection of books for the club's first shared read. In the coming weeks, members will choose one of the titles through a vote in the club's private Telegram channel and discuss it at the next meeting.

Book Club by KnygAlive aims to become an open space for conversation, the exchange of ideas, and the promotion of reading culture. Participants can look forward to new book discoveries, engaging discussions, and meetings with guest speakers and experts.

Thank you to everyone who joined the first meeting and became part of the beginning of this journey.
