Swiss National Day at the IvAlive Educational Development Center

On August 1st, we came together to celebrate Swiss National Day — a holiday that honors unity, freedom, and the values that form the foundation of this country.

At the IvAlive Center, the atmosphere felt warm, welcoming, almost family-like. Each guest had the chance to experience Swiss culture in their own way:

🔹 Talk: “Switzerland Through the Eyes of a Local”

Bernard, a Swiss local, led a fascinating conversation in French about Swiss traditions, everyday life, and the national mindset. It was a lively and open dialogue that offered fresh perspectives, even for those who have lived in Switzerland for a long time.

🔹 Children’s Movie Time: “Heidi”

While the adults joined the talk, our younger guests were introduced to Swiss culture through the story of Heidi — a beloved character who represents kindness, simplicity, and a deep love for nature.

🔹 Cooking Together: Traditional Rösti

We wrapped up the celebration by cooking and enjoying rösti — a traditional Swiss dish. Preparing and sharing this simple yet delicious meal brought our IvAlive community even closer together.
